Instructions:
What could be more creative then growing your own easter grass? This is a super idea.Here is what you'll need to complete this project:
* Cellophane or piece of plastic
* Soil
* Easter Grass seed
* Basket to grow it in
* Clean spray bottle
* Water
* Sunny window
1. Cut your cellophane or plastic large enough to line the basket plus stick out over the top edge by about 1". Make sure you use one piece to prevent leaking.
2. Fill with soil.
3. Cover the top with the seed, sprinkle a 1/4" layer of soil over the seed, and water it with the spray bottle. Mist the seed every day.
4. In about 10 days you will have a good covering of grass, so start your grass 10-12 days before Easter.
I would encourage when planting the seed, to discuss life with your children Ask them what they expect will happen. And how soon it might grow. Let them use their imagination. And ask them what the easter grass might look like. This is a great activity. Be a scientist.
